Many trees are planted in Alberta each year. The work is mostly done by a mix of companies from Alberta and BC. Due to the timing of the snow melt, the Alberta season typically starts a bit later than in BC (around mid-May).

The number of trees planted each year in Ontario is quite high, although not as much as in BC. Ontario's industry is less professional than the industry in BC, with far more social media stories about violations of provincial labour standards. Be prepared for payment irregularities.

Quebec has a well organized planting industry that places more emphasis on workers' rights, and adhering to labour laws. However, you may need to be fluent in French in order to secure a job at most Quebecois companies.

The industry in the Maritimes is less organized than elsewhere in the country. Prices are low, and most people work out of their homes rather than being based out of professional reforestation camps. Many Maritimers travel to western Canada for planting work instead of remaining in their home provinces.
